On July 7, ACANA and Josephine Blow, head of the Chester Avenue Business Association, held a belated Mother’s Day Barbeque for local women and their children.
On July 7, ACANA and Josephine Blow, head of the Chester Avenue Business Association, held a belated Mother’s Day Barbeque for local women and their children. The event was held at ACANA and featured delicious food to celebrate mothers and their contribution to our community. The event was sponsored by the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger, with help from Southwest Philadelphia’s Monica DeBrest of Helping Others Inc., Stroehmann Bread, Giant Food Store and ACME Market. The 12
th Police District Officer Joe Young also came to the event to discuss the Safe Cam program, which registers cameras installed at businesses and homes.
