Services (WATREP):
The City of Philadelphia funds ACANA’S WATREP
Program, through the Children Investment
Strategy (CIS) after school program. CIS funding
affords ACANA to run an after school program
which serves about 55 youths. The program assist
resettled children and adolescents from West
Africa make the requisite adjustments in school
and communities in America. The program
objective is to reduce the risk of school
failure which eventually leads to school dropout
and ultimately to criminal deviance.
